Jennifer Harvey has dedicated her career to working with adolescents, adults and families suffering from mental health and substance abuse issues. Jennifer received her bachelor’s degree in psychology in 2010 and became licensed as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, (CADC) in 2016 through the Iowa Board of Certification. In 2018 Jennifer upgraded her license to become licensed as an International Alcohol and Drug Counselor, (IADC) through the Iowa Board of Certification. Jennifer has specialized training in Mental Health First Aid for both adults and youth; MET/CBT; Nurtured Heart Approach; verbal de-escalation techniques; and has the innate ability to relate to clients of all ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds. She has experience working with adolescents and adults individually and on a group setting in both the residential and inpatient setting, the outpatient setting as well as those in the inpatient mental health setting. Jennifer has knowledge of the juvenile justice system as well as adult corrections and has worked with clients to resolve issues surrounding the legal system and crises of all types.
